KTTV Los Angeles kicks off interactive local business site

Fox O&O KTTV Los Angeles has launched MyFoxLA’s HOTLIST, an interactive online guide for local retailers and customers. Powered by CityVoter, the guide features descriptions, photos, videos, maps and customer comments on local businesses, as well as a platform for retailers create and manage their own Web sites.

In making the announcement, Kevin Hale, KTTV vice president and general manager, stated: “MyFoxLA HOTLIST is a natural extension to our station’s already robust Web site. The site represents our station’s commitment to providing Los Angeles residents with a constant flow of local information and resources to engage them with their community.”

Users can log on to www.myfoxla.com/hotlist to check out the “Best Of” nominees, as well as nominate their favorite businesses, share photos and reviews. Voting begins Sept. 24 and continues through Nov. 23. Starting Oct. 1, voters will be eligible to win prizes including a high-definition TV.

For businesses, MyFoxLA’s HOTLIST offers a free platform on which to build an online presence. Utilizing easy-to-use tools, retailers are able to manage their listings, add and edit photos, upload videos and include new locations. The site’s corresponding customer reviews and photos enhance these local listings for the business and those searching for information.
