KPIX SAN FRANCISCO LAUNCHES NEWS ON KBCW
CBS O&O KPIX San Francisco will launch a nightly 10 p.m. newscast on its sister station, CW affiliate KBCW, beginning Monday, March 3. The 30-minute newscast will be broadcast in high definition.
Monday through Friday staff will include KPIX's 11 p.m. team of anchors Dana King and Ken Bastida; sports director Dennis O'Donnell; and lead weather anchor Roberta Gonzales.
Saturday and Sunday nights will feature KPIX's 11 p.m. team of anchor Ann Notarangelo and weather anchor Lawrence Karnow. Rick Quan will be the sports anchor on Saturday nights and Dennis O'Donnell on Sunday nights.
“Viewers wanting news at 10 p.m. will now have a choice. We hope many of them will choose to watch our 30-minute newscast on The CW44cable12, which features the same award-winning group of broadcasters as our top-rated 11 p.m. news on CBS 5â said Vice President and News Director Dan Rosenheim.
