The two TV stations of the Dispatch Broadcast Group—WTHR Indianapolis and WBNS Columbus, Ohio—are joining the migration of stations from Petry Media to Katz Television for national representation.

In an announcement late this afternoon, Dispatch said the two stations would be represented by Katz’s Eagle Television rather than by Petry’s Blair Television starting next Monday (April 7).

“The addition of our CBS Columbus TV affiliate and our NBC Indianapolis TV affiliate to our existing radio representation is a great opportunity to excel in the national sales marketplace,” said Michael Fiorile, vice chairman and CEO, in a prepared statement.

“The Eagle…organization is a premiere group of sales professionals, which we are pleased to be represented by,” he said.

Dispatch defection is another setback for Petry Media and its two operating units, Petry Media Sales and Blair Television.

Just a week ago, Nexstar Broadcasting announced that it was moving 22 of its stations from the Petry to Katz camp.

And last November Katz picked up WPSD Paducah, Ky., ending that station’s 30-year relationship with Petry. WPSD is now represented by Katz’s Continental Television Sales.
