KHQ Spokane, WA, to air parade in HD on subchannel

Cowles NBC affiliate KHQ Spokane, Wash., will broadcast the Spokane Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade in high definition. According to the station this will be the first locally produced live remote program to be broadcast in high definition in Spokane.

The Lilac Parade can be seen on May 17, at 7:30 p.m. in high definition over-the-air on KHQ ch. 6-1 or on various cable systems throughout the Inland Northwest. KHQ will also broadcast the Lilac Parade in analog for viewers without HDTV.
