Meredith Names Munson GM of KPHO

Meredith Corp. today hired Edward L. Munson Jr. as general manager of its Phoenix CBS affiliate, KPHO.

Munson most recently was vice president of sales for LIN TV Corp., leading the sales strategy for the group. His 17 years at LIN TV, working in progressively senior positions, brings a combination of sales and operations experience to Meredith.

His roles included general sales manager and then general manager of WAVY Norfolk, Va. He also served as vice president of television for the group overseeing half of its stations.
