CityVoter.com, a social media platform targeted to city dwellers, today announced an extension of its partnership with Hearst-Argyle Television.

Already working with KCRA Sacramento, Calif.; WPBF West Palm Beach, Fla.; WESH Orlando, Fla.; WISN Milwaukee; and WAPT Jackson, Miss.,  CityVoter.com will provide KETV Omaha, Neb.; KMBC Kansas City, Mo.; and WLKY Louisville, Ky., with the CityVoter social platform, allowing insiders who know a city best to share their insight with information, ratings and reviews on the everyday decisions that affect people's daily lives. Omaha launched June 16. Kansas City and Louisville will launch in August.

CityVoter.com works with traditional media companies — television, radio and newspapers — to help them converge with digital media, engage and monetize local audiences and immerse their brands into the local social experience. Each partner launches with a contest inviting consumers to browse, vote for, comment on and nominate their favorite local businesses.

"We are looking forward to extending our partnership with CityVoter," commented Felix Banuchi, Hearst-Argyle's director of business development. "We've been very happy with the results to date and the potential of local search. CityVoter's platform has provided a compelling way for local businesses to connect with people around their passions and interests."
