WFTS Wins SPJ 'Best Newscast' Award

Scripps ABC affiliate WFTS Tampa, Fla., has been recognized as the "Best Newscast" at the 58th Annual Society of Professional Journalists Green Eyeshade Awards, a regional journalism competition among 11 Southeastern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Vice President General Manager Rich Pegram says, "It is gratifying to be recognized for this prestigious award in competition with TV markets from Atlanta to Miami. We have a talented staff working hard to deliver the best newscasts every day to our viewers in the Tampa Bay area."
