'Family Feud' Celebrates Strong Demos
Following significant time period upgrades in its first season of distribution under Debmar-Mercury, Family Feud claims to be the only returning first-run series to see year-to-year ratings improvement in key categories.
With about six weeks remaining in the official 2007-08 season, in which the first-run marketplace has suffered nearly across-the-board declines, the classic game show from FremantleMedia North America has turned in strong ratings performances among:
Women 18-49—Feud is the only show up year-to-year with growth of 14 percent in the AA national syndication barter ratings, while Cristina's Court and Judge Maria Lopez are both flat, the only three shows not to decline.
Women 25-54—Feud is up 13 percent year-to-year, the only gainer, with Ellen flat versus last season (the only two not to decline).
Adults 18-49-Feud, Inside Edition, Martha, Cristina Court, Judge Maria Lopez and Judge Judy are all flat versus last season; everything else declined.
Adults 25-54—Feud is the only first-run show to increase from last year, with a 17 percent increase, and Judge Judy, Ellen and Inside Edition remained flat year-to-year.
Homes—Judge Judy is leading the way with 4 percent growth and Feud is flat versus last season-still the only two first-run shows not to decline.
