Production begins this week on the half-hour strip which features a user-generated content twist allowing viewers to drive the action by submitting video questions online.

Viewers can upload their trivia questions to www.tpamericaplays.com and will earn the chance to win cash prizes by playing along as the action happens in-studio.

Each time the contestant gets a correct answer, money will flow into the Studio Bank but with every miss, those who submitted selected questions will watch the numbers rise in America's Bank and at the end of the game's final round, whoever has more money in the pot will take home the spoils.

Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury, said: "This is a game that has been a hit in 17 countries and in 26 languages so the opportunity to bring the brand to television with Chris in the driver's seat is really a thrill."

Trivial Pursuit is executive produced by Wheeler-Sussman Productions.
