Chris Pena is joining NBC O&O WMAQ Chicago as assistant news director effective Sept. 8.
Pena has been executive producer of the late news at NBC's WTVJ Miami for the past two years.

Prior to WTVJ, he was news director at WSCV Miami.
Pena is a graduate of the University of Houston.
