John Vitanovec, executive vice president of broadcasting at Tribune Co., is leaving the media company at the end of the week.
Vitanovec, a nearly 25-year veteran of Tribune, had risen up the ranks of the broadcasting division, including a stint as general manager of flagship WGN Chicago.

His departure is the latest in a series of changes in Tribune Broadcasting under new broadcasting chief Ed Wilson.
