To head off a formal foreclosure, the owners of WRJM Montgomery-Selma, Ala. (DMA 118) have agreed to cede control of licensee Josie Broadcasting Corp. and the station to a lender, Enterprise Capital Corp., of Enterprise, Ala., according to an FCC filing seeking approval of the transfer.

The owners of the MNT affiliate are Walter Lunsford (40 percent) and H. Jack Mizell (60 percent).

Enterprise, which does business locally as Citizens Bank, is headed by Whit Armstrong, president. Upon FCC approval, it would be the 100 percent owner of the station.

A year ago, a county court found that the Lunsford and Mizell had defaulted on a loan from Enterprise, having failed to repay $2.9 million plus interest. The court appointed Lunsford the receiver.

Lunsford and Mizell put the station on the air in 2000 as a UPN affiliate and it became an MNT affiliate in 2006 following the merger of UPN and The WB.

The station's Web site now comprises a single page with a verse from Isaiah: "Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish."
