Red Willow Offers FCC-Friendly 'Eco Company'
Northern California production company Red Willow Films today announced the distribution of the new weekly half-hour FCC-friendly educational and informational show Eco Company for fall 2009.
The show, hosted by a diverse group of teens, explores the importance of "living green" and understanding how our actions impact the planet.
The young hosts of Eco Company report on stories in energy, conservation, recycling, alternative fuels, truths and myths of global warming and more.
Red Willow Films was founded by former KBWB San Francisco President-General Manager Bob Anderson, who also created Eco Company.
"I know how difficult it can be to find high quality, topical, relevant programs to fulfill station's FCC Educational and Informational requirements," Anderson said, "especially one that provides a unique advertising environment that appeals the station's core advertisers. That's why I created Eco Company."
Eco Company will be supported by an interactive Web site where teens can submit their own ideas and their own videos, all of which will be displayed on the site, with selected videos featured in the national program.
Eco Company targets young teens, but is designed to also appeal to older teens, young adults and parents. "This show is exactly the kind of show the FCC had in mind when they began directing broadcast stations to schedule educational and informational programs," commented Anderson.
Eco Company will be produced in high definition.
